Solve for v: v^2-5 v+4 = 0            The left hand side factors into a product with two terms: (v-4) (v-1) = 0 Split into two equations: v-4 = 0 or v-1 = 0 Add 4 to both sides: v = 4 or v-1 = 0 Add 1 to both sides: Answer: | | v = 4                  or              v = 1

Polynomial for v^2-5v+4

v² - 5v + 4 = 0

v(1;2) = - (-5/2) ± √ ((5/2)² - 4)

v(1) = 2,5 + 1,5 = 4

v(2) = 2,5 - 1,5 = 1

v² - 5v + 4 = (v - 4) * (v - 1)

laugh!
