I'm probably not understanding the question here, but I think they are the same. So False. They cannot cannot be the same (or they can be the same).

They can be the same in the case that f(x)=|x|, the absolute value of x. If f(x)=|x|, then both of the graphs would be the graph of |x|. Therefore, the statement is false.
