#2. We know that there are 8 possibilities and that there are 3 even numbers, 1 number that is ONLY divisible by 3, and one that is both. 

 

3+1+1=5

3.  I'm assuming that the 12 cards are Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces

 

a) probability of selecting 2 cards???   = 100%  [I doubt that this is the question]

b)probabilty of selecting 2 face cards  = (12/16)* (11/15)  = 132/240  = 11/20

c) two aces  = (4/16)(3/15)  =  12 / 240   = 1/20

d) two red cards  = (8/16)(7/15)  =   7/30
