Hello,

Daniel has a box of 20 colored beads that are all the same size but are 20 different colors. Daniel will take out one bead at a time at random and without replacement. If the first bead Daniel removes from the box is gold, what is the probability that the red bead in the box will be removed second or third? Express your answer as a common fraction.
I really need help with this

Thanks

Case 1: Red ball second

There are 19 balls so it is 1/19

Case 2: Red ball picked third

The second ball must not be a red ball: prob 18/19. The probability of the third being red has a probability of 1/18. 18/19*1/18=1/19

Total: 1/19+1/19=2/19

:D
