The scores on a standardized test are normally distributed with a mean of 500 and a standard deviation of 60. Jake scored 520 on the test. What percent of students scored below Jake? Include a step by step description of the process you used to find that percentage.

Using a positive z -score table:

Jake scored 20/60 of one S.D. above the mean = .3333 S.D above the mean

looking at the z score table , S.D. +.33   he scored better than ~63% of the peole who took this test
