Surface area of one face =1/2*4^2*sin(45) =5.657 in^2

Height =5.657 / 2 =2.828 inches.

Volume =1/3 * 4^2 * 2.828 = 15.08 in^3.

If the slant height = edge length = 4 inches, then

Height =Sqrt[4^2 - 2^2] =sqrt(12) =3.464 inches

Volume =1/3 x 4^2 x 2.464 =~18.48 in^3
