the two solutions are given by:  \(x = {-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac} \over 2a}\)

 

In your case:

 

A)   a = 5,  b = 7 and c = 2   (because it can be rewritten as 5x2 + 7x + 2 = 0

 

B)  a = 12, b = -28 and c = 15

 

Plug these values into the formula above.
