Find the product of all positive integer values of c such that 8x^2 + 25x + c = 0 has two real roots.

To have two REAL roots , the discriminat of the Quadrtatic formula must > 0       ( =0 will provide two roots...but they ae the same number)

 

b^2 -4 ac >0

25^2 - 4 ( 8)(c) > 0

625 > 32 c

c < 625/32           simplify.....   

c< 19.53                 so      positive integer product = 19!        a large number  ....
