HiThe answer isnt working for many student for this online test. Apparently a exact answer is needed, more specific answer to the solved answer given - for the mean and the median. Any ideas? Can you work it out?

The mean is given by

integral

To find the median, integrate p(x) with respect to x and then find the value of x that makes the result equal 0.5. That is, you find the "half-way" value of the cumulative distribution function.

You should find  $$\mu=4\frac{1}{6}$$  and median = 15 - 5√5 (≈ 3.82)
