Is it 5% per year constantly beginning at 40?   Or is it 5% of the hair they have at the end of each year?

For the former:    (x-40)* .05 =  % hair loss

b) (x-40)(.05)  = .50

c) (x-40)(.05) = 1.00       solve for 'x'
