The minute hand of a clock is 6 inches long. How far does the tip of the minute hand move in 15 minutes?

6 inches and 15 minutes do not give us a proper math problem. You must add one more number, or change the value of one number, in order for it to be a math problem.

15 minutes  =  pi/2 rads  .......

And the distance it moves  =

rθ  =

6 inches * pi/2    ≈  9.42 inches
