What is the exact length of an arc formed by a central angle measuring 45°?

Arc length  =   2pi * radius  *  (given angle  / 360)     ...so we have

 

Arc length =  2pi * 6  *  (45  / 360) 

 

Arc length  = 12 pi * (1/8) 

 

Arc length  =  (12/8) * pi    =   (3/2)  pi   ( inches  )
