If Caroline gets 1/9 of the money......the other two must receive 8/9 of it
And if Colin and Sarah share the rest in a 3:1 ratio.....Colin must receive 3/4 of the 8/9
So......Colin gets (3/4) (8/9) = (3/9)(8/4) = (1/3)(2) = 2/3 of the money
