I have a bag with red and green marbles in it. At the moment, the ratio of red marbles to green marbles is 3:2. If I add \(3\) red marbles and \(2\) green marbles, the ratio will be \(3:2\). How many red marbles will be in the bag after I add more?
For whatever number of marbles that you start with -- if the initial ratio is 3:2 -- by adding three more red
marbles and 2 more green marbles, the resulting ration will remain 3:2.
There is no way to know how many red marbles you will end with (unless you know how many red
marbles you started with).
