Clifford and Julian shared a number of marbles in the ratio of 6 : 11. Their friend then returned 65 marbles back to each of them. At the end, the ratio of Clifford’s marbles to Julian’s marbles became 5 : 7. Find the total marbles that both of them have in the end.

(6x + 65) / (11x + 65) = 5 / 7

 

x = 10

 

Total marbles = 6x + 65 + 11x + 65 = 300
