46000*120000000 = 5520000000000 or 4.6*10^4= 46000

If you are finding the area of something all you need to do is multiply 46000 by 1.2*10^81.2*10^(8 = 120,000,000

The answer would be 46000*120000000= 5.52*10^12

Pieces of trash per sq mile  x no. of sq miles  =

4.6*10^4  x 1.2*10^8   =

4.6 x 1.2   x 10^4 x 10^8  =

5.52 x 10^12     pieces of trash   [ that's a little scary.....!!!]

cool cool cool
