A sequence is defined by

\(\begin{array}{|rcll|} \hline t_{345} &=& 2 &\quad 345 = 4*86+1 \\ \hline \end{array}\)

Thank you. Just for clarification, is there a reason why it's 2 and not the others? Does it have something to do with the decimals?

Thanks Heureka,

you are asked for tn  when n = 345

n is a function of k where k is 0 or a positive integer.

in this case k = the floor (whole part) of  345/4

345/4 = 86 with 1 left over.

k is 86 and 1 is left over

So

n=4k+1

so tn = 2

think about it and I think you will understand.
