If 3 men can get a work done in 3 days (72 hours), how many hours does it take to do the same job with 2 men (assuming productivity is equal).

We could use an equation, but a little logic seems better......3 men finish a job in 3 days........then each day, the 3 men do 1/3 of the job......so 1 man does 1/3 of this each day = 1/9 of the job. And 2 men could do twice this = 2/9 of the job each day.......so.......just invert the fraction to find out how long it would take the 2 men to finish the whole job = 9/2 days = 4.5 days !!!!!
