Simplify the following:
(2 (3 x+9))/(3)-(2 x+5)/(2)

Put each term in (2 (3 x+9))/3-(2 x+5)/(2) over the common denominator 6: (2 (3 x+9))/3-(2 x+5)/(2)  =  (4 (3 x+9))/6+(3 (-5-2 x))/6:
(4 (3 x+9))/6+(3 (-5-2 x))/6

(4 (3 x+9))/6+(3 (-5-2 x))/6 = (4 (3 x+9)+3 (-5-2 x))/6:
(4 (3 x+9)+3 (-5-2 x))/6

4 (3 x+9) = 12 x+36:
(12 x+36+3 (-5-2 x))/6

3 (-5-2 x) = -15-6 x:
(12 x+-15-6 x+36)/6

Grouping like terms, 12 x-6 x-15+36 = (12 x-6 x)+(36-15):
((12 x-6 x)+(36-15))/6

12 x-6 x = 6 x:
(6 x+(36-15))/6

36-15 = 21:
(6 x+21)/6

Factor 3 out of 6 x+21:3 (2 x+7)/6 3/6 = 3/(3×2) = 1/2: Answer: | | (2x+7)/2
