How should I go about simplifying a number that already has an exponent? Such as 8^6 to 2^, what would the exponent then become? 8 or 512...? Thank you in advance.

Solved my own question, and the hardest math question ever encountered.
When simplefying a number with an existing exponent you have to multiply the exponents you get togheter.
E.G
8^3=512 to 2^3=8 so 2^3*3=512 so you would get 2^9

That is correct so long as the 3*3 is in brackets
2^3*3=24
2^(3*3)=512

Remember, you must do powers before you do multiply UNLESS the brackets tell you differently.
