answers I've seen for sin 300 degrees say -sqrt 3/2 . How do I get an answer in that form instead of decimal?

Most calculators will only give the decimal form.....WolframAlpha will display the exact value....here's the result : http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=sin%28300%29

However.....if we remember some basic trig.......300°  is a 60°  reference angle in the 4th quadrant

And the sine of  60°   =  sqrt(3)/2   ......but.....the sine  is negative in this quadrant, so -sqrt(3)/2  is correct

cool cool cool
