So lets say that a guy can run one over four of a mile in 25 seconds. At this rate, which expression can be used to determine how fast the guy runs in miles per hour?

1/4 of a mile in 25 seconds is 1 mile in 100 seconds.  There are 3600 seconds in one hour so there are 36 lots of 100 seconds in one hour.  This means the guy can run 36 mph (must be the six-million dollar man!).
