so my teacher just introduced me to trig, which actually wasn't all that bad in class, but now I'm wondering how I know whether to use a cos, sin, or tan sign? like it would be easier if i were on a trip throughout the COSmos, looking for a SINcear answer as to why i cant ever get a TAN...LOL JK (just kidding). laugh  But like honestly i need some math help ASAP so if you could help me that would be great

Have you learned SOH CAH TOA yet? If so that's all you need to know really

maybe abstract trigonometry depending on if your school has that in it's syllabus

Or do you need help with the different trigonometric idetities? If not, then like others before have said just use SOH CAH TOA...

Sine(theta) Opposite (to theta) / Hypotnuse
Cosine(theta) Adjacent (to theta) / Hyponuse
Tangent(theta) Opposite (to theta) / Adjdacent (to theta)
