solve for x

Cross multiply to get

-8x = 6

Divide -8 on both sides...

x = -6/8

Just a slight correction......I think HSC missed the negative sign in front of the  "6"

-8 = -6/x

-8x  = - 6

x = 6/8   =  3/4

[Don't worry, HSC.....I still gave you a point....it was an honest mistake......!!! ]
