I think it is a great icon   laugh

I made the graph, and the only places to hit 0 was -1 and -1,5

That is really good thinking ChoZerr.

Why didn't you include x=-1.5 as a second answer ?

How did you make a graph?  I guess you made y=2x2+5x+3     ??

But did you do it by hand and graph a set of points?

or did you use a graphing calc?

or did you do it another way?

I didn't look much into it, so i simply missed it ;)

I edited the answer now. :D

I use the calculator a lot at the time, it's great and easy to use :D

You used the web2 calc or a different one?

Have you learned the quadratic formula yet?

I did not use the web2 calculator for this equation, but i am using it for trigonometry, in school. :D

ok so you used a different calc i guess.

The best online calc for this sort of thing is   "Desmos Graphing calculator"

Have you used that one?

Oh, I repeat, have you learned the quadratic formula yet ?

In this question

2x2+5x+3=0

a=2   b=5    and c=3

if you sub these values into the quadratic formula (which you will eventually have to memorize)

you will get x=-1 and x=-1.5                       [You won't have to graph it.]

Yes you will learn the Quadratic Formula soon :)

You could memorise that "pop goes the weazel" song and impress everyone by already knowing it.

But if you don't want to you will learn it soon enough anyway :))

I was very impressed that you answered that question without knowing the formula.  :))

There are always lots of ways to do things.  :))
