There has to be some other measurement, otherwise, 140 ft cannot equal any amount of square feet other than zero. 

 

Proof: This equation basically states 140 ft*0 ft = n ft². However, this would just equal zero square feet as 140*0=0.

 

Another proof: 140 ft. is just a line measuring 140 ft. in the first dimension
