Factor the expression given below. Write each factor as a polynomial in descending order. Enter exponetns using the caret ( ^ ).

125x^3 + 512y^3

I know the 125 is writen as

(5x)^3

beyond that i personally dont know

125x^3 + 512y^3

Cube root of first term  = 5x     Cube root of second term  = 8x

So we have a sum of cubes which can be factored as :

(5x + 8y)  [ (5x)^2  - 5x*8y  + (8y)^2 ]  =

(5x + 8y ) ( 25x^2  - 40xy  + 64y^2)
