4/36 or 1/9

To see this, note that we could have:

1 on first die  + 4 on second die

4 on first die + 1 on second die

2 on first die + 3 on second die

3 on first die + 2 on second die

And there are 6 possibilties on the first die and 6 on the second...so the total number of outcomes is just 6 * 6 = 36

So.....(4 posibilities for a five) / (36 total possibilities) = 1/9
