If Tan "y" = 8/15 how do I solve. My math teacher is teaching us Tangent so no sine or cosign.

tan y = 8/15

Since you don't know the angle, you use inverse tangent!

It looks like this:

tan^-1

So, your equation would become:

tan^-1(8/15)=y

Then solve for y! The y would be the angle
