5g⇒ nickel→ 5¢

120%5g=6g ⇒ quarter→ 25¢

50%5g=2.5g⇒ dime→ 10¢

Let the weight of a quater=Q, then we have:

.80Q=5 divide both sides by .80

Q=5/.80

Q=6.25 grams-the weight of a quarter.

 

50% X 5 =2.50 grams-the weight of a dime.
