The scale of the map is 1:20000.On the map,the area of  a park is 30cm2.The actual area of the park is ??

On first blush, it might appear that we just need to multiply 30 by 20,000.

But......that is not quite correct.......

All linear distances on the scale map are 20000 times as long in "real life"

So....let us suppose that the park measured 6cm x 5cm on the model.

Then, in "real life"...the side that is 6cm long is, in fact (6 x 20000)cm long

And the same relationship holds for the side that is 5cm long.

So.....the total "real life" area is just (6 X20000) *(5 *20000) = 12,000,000,000cm^2

This seems like a lot, but expressing it in meters gives us (1200m) x (1000m) = 1,200,000m^2 = about 1100m on a side if the park's L = W  ...this seems reasonable....the park is less than a mile on each side, assuming a "square"
