The function  f(x)  is the total amount spent at a store, when purchasing x items that are $5 each and the items are not taxable.

What is the practical domain for the function f(x)?

all whole numbers

all positive integers that are multiples of 5

all real numbers

all positive integers

Which characteristic is correct for the function f(x)=−2x4+3x2 ?

even

neither even nor odd

odd

both even and odd

All whole numbers  [ there is a possibility that nothing is purchased ]

f(x)  =  -2x^4  + 3x^2

If we just have even powers on a function [ and posssibly, a constant term ] it will always be even

Proof...if even  f(x)  =  f(-x)

f(-x)  =  - 2(-x)^4 + 3(-x)^2   =   -2x^4 + 3x^2  = f(x)
