There are two mixtures of paint,
Mixture A is made with 5 cups of purple paint and 2 cups of white paint.
Mixture B is made with 15 cups of purple paint and 8 cups of white paint.
Which mixture is a lighter shade of purple? Explain you reasoning.
I need help knowing what shade is the lighter one for my math class because i dont understand it.

+36915 The one with the most white in the mixture is the 'lightest'
A is 5:2 = 15:6
B is 15:8 and thus has more of the white to the purple(15) ...so it will be 'lighter' in color
