1. A duck was given $9, a spider was given $36, a bee was given $27. Based off of this information, how much money would be given to a cat?
A cat will go after ducks, spiders, and bees so it receives $72.

duck = 2 legs = (1)(9) = $9
spider = 8 legs = (4)(9) = $36
bee = 6 legs = (3) (9) = $27
Each pair of legs is worth $9
So....a cat would get 2(9) = $18
