I don't understand what kind of error is returned by the calculator for this trivial proportion.

Yes, it doesn't seem to be able to solve it. Just solve it, manually as follows:
51.65 / x =100000/3450000, solve for x Cross multiply 100000x =178,192,500 x =178,192,500 / 100,000 x =1,781.925
thanks you were kind, I had solved it like that too; however it seems strange that a clacolatrice does not solve such a simple calculation
An amendment to the terms of service require users to be at least as smart as the Calculator, else the Calculator has the option to refuse service.
