+28 Julia lucked into some tickets last minute for the 2012 Summer
Olympics in London. She certainly can’t pass up her chance at
meeting Prince William and Kate Middleton! Her tickets are so last
minute, though, that she has to rush to the airport immediately! Kate
and Wills will be at the swimming events that night at 7 PM and its
10AM now. Her flight leaves Philadelphia in an hour and will take 7
hours. Will she arrive in London on time if it takes her 30 minutes to
get from the plane gate to her seat in the stadium?
London is 5 hours ahead of Philadelphia. When Julia leaves Philly at 11 am, it is already 4 pm, London time. Since her flight will take 7 hours, that means she will arrive at 11 pm, London time. So, by the time she gets to the swimming event, it will be 11:30 pm, London time, and very late for the 7 pm swimming event.
Therefore, Julia will not be able to see Prince William and Kate Middleton.
