QUESTTION 1:
A sine function has the following key features:
Frequency = 1/8π
Amplitude = 6
Midline: y = 3
y-intercept: (0, 3)
The function is not a reflection of its parent function over the x-axis.
Use the sine tool to graph the function. The first point must be on the midline and the second point must be a maximum or minimum value on the graph closest to the first point.
Here is my problem, im not sure on how graphing works on this mecanism, and i was wondering if you can help me on where to put the sines on the x and y axises
It is a sin function so start with sin x
It is NOT a reflection so it is NOT -sin x still sin x
Frequency = 1/(8pi) period = 1/f = 8pi 2pi / (8pi) = 1/4 now we have sin (1/4 x)
Amplitude = 6 Now we have 6 sin (1/4 x)
Midline 3 6 sin (1/4 x) + 3
It is a sin function so start with sin x
It is NOT a reflection so it is NOT -sin x still sin x
Frequency = 1/(8pi) period = 1/f = 8pi 2pi / (8pi) = 1/4 now we have sin (1/4 x)
Amplitude = 6 Now we have 6 sin (1/4 x)
Midline 3 6 sin (1/4 x) + 3
