Doing trigonometry for coursework and i need some assistance. so far i've got
c(opp)=20
b(hyp) = ?
a(adj) = ?
Right angled triangle where theta C = 0.45a. B = 90. A = ?
(The 'a' ^ in this is what's really conusing me, how can i find its value?)
All my work i've currently got which im 99% is all wrong.
a (adj) = c/tan(0.45a) //value not given for a
= 0.3491012986 ?? (not certain on this),
or (according to a calculator) a = infinity over c,
or a = c over infinity
b (hyp) = c/sin(0.45a) //value not given for b
c (opp) = 20
A = (180º - Bº - Cº) = 89.84290441563º // This can't be correct surely //value not initially given for A
B = 90º(1) // the right angle (obvs)
C = 0.45aº = 0.45 x 0.3491012986 = 0.15709558437
b = 0.3491012986/cos (0.15709558437) = 0.3491026108166684 ??
b = 20/sin (89.84290441563) = 20.0000751768425768
A(??) + B(90) + C(0.45a) = 180
a² = 0.1218717166842064 ??
b² = 0.1218726328790142406 ??
c² = 400
probably a tad wrong formula somewhere or wrong values.
The question in hand: 'For each of the triangles below calculate the remaining angles and sides, giving the angles in both degrees and radians.'
Trigonometry is not my strong suit and courseworks due in soon. dont want anyone to give me the answers or anything just would like a double check on if they're correct, if not let me know , wee bit of advice would be nice and i'll go try a different formula or something :).
I'm basically looking for comfirmation on my answers and how to go about finding the answers to the ones i haven't found yet.
