I understand that a quadratic sequence is a sequence where the difference between the terms is an arithmetic sequence, but what is it called when the difference between those terms is a geometric sequence? Is it then still a quadratic?

Example: 3, 12, 48, 192, ...

The differences are: 9, 36, 144, ...

The latter is a geometric sequence increasing by a factor of 4, but what is the first sequence then, from which the latter is derived?

Nevermind, I'm stupid, the top one was also a geometric sequence.

I cannot facepalm any harder.
