how do you solve this question:

How many triangles are in the figure shown here?

I don't know how to solve this question.

I think it is just a big counting problem.....  I count 32         anyone else ?

each square =2 triangles

there are 12 squares so 12x2=48

there are 12 regular triangles

48+12+?

you did the mulitplication  problem that i had already answered, the addition problem that you need to do is 48+12=?

Sorry,,,,,   No I didn't do the multiplication you had answered....

                       I was questioning how you multiplied 12 x 2    and got 48

I meant =

each square =2 triangles

there are 12 regular triangles

24+12+?
