Use the data that you have for the air-filled tube.

 

 

  • Make a drawing of the standing wave in the tube when you have two, three, and four nodes or peaks. These will correspond to the first, second, and third overtones.
  • For each standing wave, label the nodes and the antinodes.
  • Label and record the distance in meters of the half wavelength (λ/2) for each standing wave.
  • Explain how the standing wave occurs in depth.

So far I have drawn the standing waves as shown above, however im having diffucly with part 3 (Label and record the distance in meters of the half wavelength (λ/2) for each standing wave.) and the part 3 with explaning how the standing wave occurs in depth.
