Use the graph that shows the solution to f(x)=g(x) .

f(x)=−(x+2)(x−2)

g(x)=2|x+2|

What is the solution to f(x)=g(x) ?

Select each correct answer.

The only thing difficult here is to decide which graph is the correct one

f(x) is the same on both graphs

g(x)  = 2 l x + 2 ]     is the absolute value graph of  l x  l shifted two units to the left with a vertical stretch

The " vertex" of l x l = (0, 0)

So...the "vertex" of   2  l x + 2 l  is  (-2, 0)

So....the first  graph is correct

And the x  values for the solutions are

x = -2      and      x = 0
