Use three different ways (graph, table, algebraically) to convince someone that
Graph : This is symmetric with the y axis....this is characteristic of an even function
Graph here : https://www.desmos.com/calculator/w76y3q8fup
Table
x y
1 4
-1 4 this is also characteristic of an even function... if (-x, y) is on the graph....then so is (x , y)
Algebraically
If f(x) = f(-x)....then even
f(x) = x^2 + 3
f(-x) = (-x)^2 + 3 = x^2 + 3 = f(x)...so.....even
Thanks, CPhill! Also, can you check my work if it is correct? It was a post from a few days before but I just forgot to respond back. There is also have been some guests insulting me for no reason what so ever. Maybe you should check on it.

Just ignore these people....remember....their words can't hurt you on here !!!
And..I'll check...
Thanks, I understand it now. I have been struggling with these kinds of problems for a certain reason which is stressing me. I don't know why people on this forum are attacking me just for posting math here when I didn't do anything to others. Can you like delete those messages knowing that you're a moderator?
