I have calculated sine for an angle based on the opposite side being 4.5 and the hypotenuse being 11.75. How do I use the calculator to tell me the degrees in the angle?

First....look in the Lower Left corner to make sure the calculator is set to ' deg'

then sin = opp/hyp = 4.5/11.75 = .382978

The press the ' 2nd ' key on the calculator then the ' asin ' key ....which is arc sin  which is sin inverse...

= 22.52 degrees

EP, why did you use a slide rule?  Scientific Calculators were very common and cheap then, and a few of the programmable calculators cost about the same as an expensive text book.

Did you go to an Amish school?smiley

ROFL!!

I have a slide rule, but I do not know how to use it.
