So, how do you find the volume of a hexagon, using the base*height formula?

A hexagon is a two-dimensional object.....it doesn't have a "volume".....I think you might mean "area"......if so.....the area  is composed of six congruent triangles, each with a base of s [where s is the side length] and a height of   √3s /2 .......so, the area = 

 

  6*(1/2)* s * √3s /2  =

 

[3√3] s2  / 2       where s is the side length
