The formula for volume is length x width x height.

 

To calculate the volume in yards, we first have to convert everything into yards. Knowing that 3ft = 1 yard, we can convert them by dividing by 3. This means the dimensions in yards are: 12 yards x 8 yards x 0.25 yards. Using the formula for volume, we know the volume in yards is \(12 \times 8 \times 0.25 = \color{brown}\boxed{24}\)

 

To calculate the volume in feet, we don't have to do anything, because the dimensions are already in feet, the dimensions are: 36 ft x 24 ft x 0.75 ft. Thus, using the volume formula, we know the volume is \(36 \times 24 \times 0.75 = \color{brown}\boxed{648}\)
