Civonamzuk's Statement.

(1,500/100)*2.1% = 31.5

This statement is not correct Civonamzuk

2.1%=2.1/100 = 0.021

so

(1,500/100)*2.1% = (1,500/100)*0.021

$$\left({\frac{{\mathtt{1\,500}}}{{\mathtt{100}}}}\right){\mathtt{\,\times\,}}{\mathtt{0.021}} = {\frac{{\mathtt{63}}}{{\mathtt{200}}}} = {\mathtt{0.315}}$$

Not quite Eloise

2.1% of 1,500

$$\frac{2.1}{100}*1500$$

=2.1*15

=31.5

You should also do a sensibleness check

1% 0f 1500 is 15

2% of 1500 is 30

2.1% must be a bit more than that
