What does it mean when they say "Axis of symmetry" and,,"opens up or down"? Please help! I'd greatly apreciate it! :)

Axis of symmetry means if you reflect the image about that axis you get the same thing. Both the following graphs have an axis of symmetry at x = 0.

That's okay! do you know the formula for " graphing Quadratic Functions in standard form"? This stuff is confusing!
