5^2 means the same thing as 52    5^3 means 53    5^4 means 54    et cetera. 

 

The name of the ^ symbol is "caret" - a caret indicates that the number following it is to be regarded as an exponent. 

 

A caret is used when a keyboard doesn't provide the ability to move a number upward into exponential position.

sometimes I wonder if its all a troll, but this wondering is because people aren't really specific on the problem.

 

Are they confused on the ^ symbol?

 

or they just want a calculation? I mean, there is website is a calculator, and literally you will have to visit the calculator FIRST before going to forums.
