What is the exact value of x?
5⋅215x=16
x=log3.25log21
x=log215log3.2
x=5log3.2log21
x=5log21log3.2
The function f(x)=logx is transformed into the equation f(x)=log(14x).
Identify the parameter and the effect the parameter has on the parent function.
The function f(x)=log(14x) is a Choose...horizontal stretch, or horizontal compression of the parent function by a factor of Choose...0.25,1, or 4.
What are the x and y-intercepts of the equation?
y=log(7x+3)−2
Round the answers to the nearest hundredth.
I'm a bit confused, with your formatting. . .
When you say what is the exact value of x and you post a bunch of log equations are those the options?
As for the second part
f(x)= log x AND f(x)=log(14x)
I know this is some sort of Horizontal stretch/compression. Horizontal stuff are always opposite.
So 14 is actually 1/14=0.07 <---- This is obviously less than zero so it's a compression.
So there is a horizontal compression by 1/14. Not sure about those options though...
y=log(7x+3)-2
For the x-intercept, you plug in 0 for y and solve. You get: (13.86,0)
For the y-intercept: you plug in 0 for x and solve. You get: (0,-1.52)
Hope that helps!
